DORy privacy policy
How the DORy browser extension handles information. This policy covers the extension, not this website.
1. Summary
DORy is a browser extension published by Luc Interactive LLC that opens official tax portals. It has no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising, and it reads nothing about the pages you visit. There is exactly one thing it ever sends, and only when you choose to send it.
2. The one thing DORy sends
Every link in DORy has a flag button for reporting a link that is wrong. If you use it, and only then, DORy sends one HTTPS request to our review server. That request contains the jurisdiction and portal type of the link you flagged, the flagged URL, the replacement URL you typed, and a random identifier generated in your browser.
It does not contain your name, your email address, your browsing history, the page you were on, or anything you did not type. The report is a comment about our own directory, not about you. It is not used to build a profile, is not linked to any other report, and is not sold or shared.
3. Information stored on your device
DORy keeps the following in your browser's own local storage. None of it leaves your device, and uninstalling DORy removes all of it.
- Your theme, font, and font size choices.
- Your recently opened jurisdictions and the international-results setting.
- How many reports you have sent today, so the daily limit of three can be applied. The limit is enforced in your browser and the count is never transmitted.
- Which links you have already reported today, so the same one is not reported twice.
4. Information held on our server
A submitted report is delivered to a server we operate. Each report is stored as one line recording the jurisdiction, portal type, flagged URL, replacement URL, the random identifier described above, and the time it was received. Reports are kept for 52 weeks and then deleted.
Our web server also keeps standard request logs, which include the requesting IP address. Those logs are kept for the same period. The IP address is used only to stop a script from flooding the endpoint; it is not stored alongside a report and is never used to identify anyone.
5. What DORy does not do
- It does not read, collect, or transmit the content of any page you visit.
- It does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, or analytics services.
- It does not share information with third parties, because it holds none.
- It does not require or create an account.
6. Your choices
Sending a report is entirely optional, and DORy works fully without it. If you have sent a report and want it removed, email hello@lucinteractive.com with the approximate date and the link you reported, and we will delete it.
7. Children
DORy is a professional tool for tax and accounting work. It is not directed at children and collects nothing from them.
8. Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what is sent or stored, the change will be noted in the extension's release notes and the date at the top of this page will be updated.
